Drew Barrymore

Here Drew shows off her short bob with textured chunky edge and more current long soft flowing long wavy multi colored hair style.Drew Barrymore is a perfect example of a Star who's learned that " simplicity and change" along with a touch of color for drama are the keys to beautiful hair styles.

Drew's style works best if hair has a loose wave. If your hair is straight to get the look have your hair permed for a soft natural wave effect. For a temporary wavy effect use a large barrel styling iron or wet set.

To Get This Look: Start with a chin length layered style cut with long heavy bangs. This shape works for angular face shapes with small facial features.

To Style: comb a puff of Gel Mousse through damp hair, blow dry for volume. When dry, part curl ends with large barrel styling iron. After work a dab of Foaming Pomade to sections and tousle with fingers. If hair is curly type, begin by combing a dab of Straightening Styling Balm through damp hair and blow dry. When dry, curl edge with large barrel styling iron. Optional, apply a puff of Foaming Pomade through hair for texture, shape and frizz control.

For Drew's Current Hair Color : If hair is light brown or dish water blonde use a high lift strawberry blonde tint and add contrasting golden highlights. For best results consult a salon colorist.

Jessica Simpson

Jessica’s look here consists of strong blonde hi-lites and a blunt layered bob on the left and long layers on the right.

To achieve this shade of blonde, first you must have your base color lifted (if you are not already blonde)--your stylist will determine how much. Once you have a nice golden base color, powder hi-lites and warm low-lites can be added. Baliage or hair painting would be the best way to get the brightness and contrast as seen here on Jessica.

To maintain your blonde use a color enhancing shampoo and conditioner. The cut is fairly straightforward, falling to the collarbone with long textured layers and a sweeping bang. This cut is best suited for thin or fine straight hair.

For styling you will need a good volumizing spray, texturizing spray wax, and a good shine product. Apply volumizing spray to towel dried hair starting at the roots and working your way down to the ends. Dry hair in sections using a large round brush. Blow hair up and away from the scalp making sure each section is dry before moving on to the next. Create volume at the crown by pulling sections from the rear crown of the head, forward and up.
